Recently, ZJCM's newly upgraded Crawler-Mounted Tower Erection Crane MT2D16 has successfully completed its first tower pilot application on the Jiangyou–Gong'an II 220kV Transmission Line Project in Jingzhou.

Following the successful development of the MT2D06 model in 2024 and based on on-site engineering verification, this new generation product has been upgraded with enhanced lifting load capacity and improved adaptability for special-shaped towers. It boosts the construction adaptability rate for transmission towers of 220kV and below, fully covers the construction needs of all types of towers within this voltage level, and delivers a highly efficient tower erection solution designed for complex terrain. It effectively resolves the high safety risks and low automation levels associated with traditional suspended pole tower erection methods.
Key Specifications of MT2D16
- Rated lifting capacity: 2.5t.
- Working radius: 0.8–6.4m.
- Maximum independent height: 12.6m.
- Maximum attached height: 81m.
- Rated lifting moment: 16t·m.
Compared with the MT2D06, the upgraded MT2D16 features:
- Significantly increased lifting height and wider vertical operating coverage.
- Higher rated load and lifting moment for stronger lifting performance.
- Optimized jacking system using rope structure instead of climbing claws to improve stability and safety.
- Innovative standard-section cylinder-driven tilting frame, streamlining installation from multi-step manual handling to one-button automatic operation.
- More powerful chassis with improved mountain climbing ability, supported by a diesel-electric hybrid system for high adaptability, energy efficiency and low emissions.
To strengthen the core competitiveness of its Power Tower Erection Crane (PTEC) product line, ZJCM has intensified efforts in high-end, intelligent and green product development since the start of the year. The company has launched R&D on 5 new power products, of which 2 have been finalized and launched. Supported by proactive marketing strategies and independent business accounting incentives, the new orders and deliveries of ZJCM power products have achieved substantial growth year-on-year.

Moving forward, ZJCM will continue to focus on its strategic development roadmap, accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces, and launch more high-performance new products to enhance market competitiveness and better serve regional power grid construction.
